About our Ministry

The Need

In the United States, there is approximately one trained pastor for every 250 people. Around the rest of the world, there is approximately one trained pastor for every 450,000 people.

It is estimated that 70,000 people receive Christ every day in the Majority World. That means the Church in the Majority World needs 1,000 - 2,000 church planters and pastors trained every day just to keep up with the current growth of Christianity.

Our mission is to provide quality biblical and theological training to indigenous church planters, pastors, and Christian leaders throughout the Majority World.

We focus specifically on Asia due to the Lord's calling and the significant need of its peoples. More than 75% of all unreached people groups in the entire world are in Asia. In the countries in which we currently serve, Evangelical Christians make up between 0.3% and 1.4% of the population.

Method

  1. Head

  2. Heart

  3. Hands

“And what you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses, entrust to faithful men who will be able to teach others also.” 2 Timothy 2:2

The methods we use are in keeping with Paul’s instruction in 2 Timothy 2:2. We build relationships with key multiplying indigenous leaders, who then take on the long-term responsibility of training the next generation of church planters, pastors, and leaders.

Through intensive, on-site training seminars, we provide holistic teaching and training in essential Christian doctrine, vital Christian character, and practical ministry skills. We call this focusing on the Head, Heart, and Hands.

We also seek to bring spiritual refreshment and encouragement to these hard-working pastors and their spouses.

As requested by national leaders, we typically schedule quarterly training sessions to encourage continued growth in competency and character. Our goal, however, is to “work ourselves out of a job.” When enough pastors and leaders are trained in an area, the frequency of our training efforts can be reduced in that area, and new areas can be opened.

Gospel-focus

The Gospel is powerfully summed up in Romans 6:23: "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord." We are not ashamed of this Gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes (Romans 1:16). Because of this, we are committed to fulfilling the Great Commission (Matthew 28:18-20) and the Great Commandment (Matthew 22:34-40) of Jesus as we provide training for pastors and leaders around the world. These trained pastors and leaders then teach, train, and disciple the men, women, and children under their influence and care. These indigenous Christians then continue the process of carrying out the Great Commission and the Great Commandment throughout their extended families, neighborhoods, villages, cities, and entire nations! All for the glory of Jesus the Christ!
